It really was such a welcoming atmosphere. We were all there at "mom camp" but really, what it was for me was a women's retreat. Women at different stages of our lives. Some of us going through some hard times, some of us early in the motherhood stage. But at the end of the day, it was the power of the village and community and being around people that maybe you can touch in some way and share one of your experiences. That was incredible. I think we don't have enough of that, those moments of building women, supporting women in a community that is not just wearing those labels as "Mom" or whatever your work is. It was just a place to be yourself and contribute to that village. It was great."

Curious how the sleeping arrangements will work?
Because we want to allow for as much space as possible and ensure everyone feels comfortable, we have worked with the venue to increase the number of cabins.
Each cabin will have 6-10 people, depending on who you are travelling with. If you are coming solo, you can absolutely have a room to yourself.
Here you will see a layout of one of the cabins. Each "room" has two bunk beds and can accommodate 4 people, but no more that 2 people will be in each room.
The cabins are heated, have full washrooms, and comfy bedding is provided.
Combining the life-changing effects of meditation with the power of true storytelling, Chopra Certified Instructor and Professional Communications Advisor, Anna Mullens, will help campers edit and rewrite the narratives holding them back from embracing their multi-potentiality.
In a special 2-hour workshop, Anna will help attendees deepen and understand their memory of self, arriving at a fuller understanding of who they are and how they can transform their stories to discover a more purposeful path forward.
Together, the group will create and perform a collective talk that encompasses the energy of that purpose and communicates a creative and profound new story they can share forever.
Kerry is a seasoned Community Builder, Founder of Moms Against Racism (Canada), and a rule challenger. She is a multiracial, cis-gender woman of African, English, Swedish, and Irish descent who identifies as Black. She is a mother to 3 young children under the age of 8; two of whom are white presenting and one who is Black presenting. In 2017, Kerry had what she calls her "mid-life unravelling". Circumstances forced her to take a hard look at her life, and she decided to free herself from some harmful rules that didn't actually serve to support her happiness. Since then she has been "becoming" herself, connecting with what matters most, and letting go of what doesn't. Her heart's work is anti-racism and social justice issues with a particular passion for empowering moms.
Kerry's session is "Re-writing the Motherhood rules."
Cindy is a Reiki Master and an intuitive guide.
Her session is a live, interactive "DREAMshop," where dancing may be involved. Cindy will lead you through questions and exercises that will support you to uncover dreams that you may have set aside, explore your true desires, and remember your natural talents.
The DREAMshop also includes a short visualization meditation, which you will have lifetime access to.
Cindy believes there is great beauty in the pause, and she wants to share this concept with you. To give yourself the time and space to YIELD and explore what truly matters to you, so that you can begin to create more of what you desire in your life. Your dreams are worth it!

Meredith Dawson, Advanced EFT Practitioner and Well-Being Warrior
As the final workshop of the weekend, Meredith’s session is called “Recalibrating Your Inner Compass to the ABC’s of Well-Being.” Meredith will lead us through affirmations, breathwork, and connecting back to ourselves through EFT tapping, all with the purpose of bringing clarity and confidence to our feelings, desires, and intentions. Finding that inner compass to support and guide you in your daily life.
Creator of the signature experience “Back to Breath”, Meredith is here to simplify the daily practices that will support you in connecting to and recalibrating your own inner compass. She combines mindful movement, purposeful play and the power of your words in ways that shine a light forward. With all that we are told and taught about how we should show up in the world, how we should serve others needs first, how we should follow the lead of others and not trust our own desires – Prepare yourselves to release those “Shitty Shoulds,” and come back to the connections that honour your own ways of thriving as your Being journey unfolds.
The camp takes place on the traditional territory of the Skw̲xw̲ú7mesh people. As part of the weekend, one of our activities will be an interpretive walk through the surrounding forest, led by an Indigenous interpreter. We will gain a greater understanding of the lands on which we are gathering, and of the people that have lived on the lands since time immemorial. The walk will highlight a sense of place in connection with the local plants and fauna that have always been used for food and medicines, reflective of the traditions of the Coast Salish people.
We have an incredible partnership with TIME Family of Wines for Mom Camp: The Camp. Campers will enjoy tasting the different wines that TIME offers throughout the weekend, including at a special wine tasting and education session about the wines of BC.
TIME Family of Wines is based in Penticton, British Columbia. Their intention is to craft friendly and approachable wines, providing a pure expression of the grapes grown by their south Okanagan grower partners.SWEET! I'M IN!
I just kind of forgot about myself there for a while. I used Camp as an opportunity to get together with other moms that go through the same thing, and remember who Anya is. It was just great to have the bond and the energy that we all shared together. That was that was the biggest thing that I took away - that recognition that I'm not in this alone. I'm not the only one that gets buried in school and spit up and sick kids and trying to juggle it all. I still remember who I am.

Mom Camp: The Camp takes place at a retreat and educational centre located on 165 hectares of ecological reserve in Paradise Valley, near Squamish, British Columbia.
Named by The New York Times as one of the top 52 Places to Go, the area offers endless year-round recreation from hiking, biking, fishing and wilderness camping to cabin getaways.
Squamish is nestled between Vancouver and Whistler along the Sea to Sky corridor, one of North America’s most scenic coastal routes. Its spectacular 360-degree views range from snow-capped mountains to glacial lakes to old-growth forests to the turquoise waters of the Howe Sound fjord that look almost too good to be true.

We plan Camp following all guidelines from the BC Provincial Health Officer, and we are working with the Cheakamus Centre to determine the most appropriate arrangements for accommodations and common spaces.
A complete packing list and all details will be sent out to all campers closer to the Camp. You will need to bring all clothes, jackets, boots and hats for the weather, toiletries, and a flashlight. You can also bring a yoga mat if you choose.
The standard cabins can accommodate up to 18 people (9 on each side), with a minimum of 10 campers per cabin. Every effort will be made to ensure that your bunkmate requests are accommodated.
Absolutely. The Executive Chef and kitchen team will be notified of your needs well in advance of Camp, and alternate meals will be made available for you. The Camp has a strict "no food from home" policy as they cannot have food stored in the cabins, but any medically necessary food can be accommodated with Cheakamus Centre.
There is cell service at Camp, but the wifi is very limited. While there will be many Instagrammable moments, the Cheakamus Centre encourages a "Disconnect to connect" policy, to take advantage of the natural surroundings, to unplug and to reboot with friends, associates and new acquaintances.
If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centres and activities. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as accommodating as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
To cancel, you must send an email stating that you wish to cancel to: [email protected]
If Camp needs to be cancelled or postponed because of changes to COVID-19 restrictions, you will be offered the option of either a refund or deferral to a future Camp.
Nope. This Camp is definitely not a sales exercise. The presenters are working professionals and may indeed have books, courses or programs available, but other than mentioning they exist, there will be no sales activity at The Camp. This weekend is about YOU, your personal development, your friendships and your downtime.
